college world series 2018

We’re here. Eight teams traveled to Omaha, Neb. for the College World Series to battle through two brackets of double elimination ball and now we’ve found our final two.

Arkansas and Oregon State will now play a best-of-three series beginning Monday night, and the winner of two games will be crowned this year’s NCAA baseball tournament champion.

Last year’s winners, Florida, were beat up by Texas Tech on the CWS’ second day, but they survived long enough to get into an elimination game with Arkansas on Friday night. The Gators lost, and with that loss lost their rights to contend for a consecutive title.

Oregon State has taken a tougher path into the final round than their counterparts, Arkansas, who have yet to lose in Omaha. The Beavers also dropped their opening day bout to North Carolina, who was promptly removed from contention after two-straight losses, the first to Mississippi State, and the second to Oregon State.

OSU then went on to beat Mississippi State twice and now the Beavs find them in the final tilt of this long tournament.

Each game of this series is set for airing on ESPN at 7 p.m. ET, weather allowing. A livestream will also be available at WatchESPN.
